Japanese Head Spa at Gloow

At Gloow, the Japanese Head Spa is a luxurious hair detox treatment focused on hair analysis, hair cleansing, hair care, washing, and drying. The treatment is tailored to the condition and needs of your hair. We use biodynamic products from the Italian brand Oway.

The treatment begins with a hair analysis. The hair is then washed, thoroughly cleansed, and treated with high-quality hair care products. Finally, the hair is dried and/or blow-dried.

A session lasts 60 to 75 minutes. The exact duration depends on the condition of your hair and the products your therapist chooses. Blow-drying is available as an optional add-on when booking.

For clients who want a deep cleanse and treatment for their hair, such as when it’s dull, lifeless, or feels heavy due to product buildup. You don’t need to have a specific concern to book an appointment. The treatment is always tailored to your hair.

The treatment is suitable for most people. Do you have open sores or an irritated scalp, or an active scalp condition such as eczema or psoriasis? If so, please let us know in advance. Your therapist will assess what is possible and tailor the products accordingly, or recommend postponing the treatment until your scalp has healed.

Yes. The treatment includes a hair analysis, shampooing, cleansing, and conditioning, and can also be booked during pregnancy. Please let your therapist know if you’re pregnant, so we can ensure you’re comfortable and choose the right products. If you have any doubts, please consult your midwife or doctor beforehand.

Absolutely. The treatment is suitable for everyone and every hair type, including short hair. During the hair analysis, we’ll determine which products are right for your hair, regardless of length or style.

We work exclusively with high-quality hair products from Oway, an Italian brand specializing in biodynamic hair care, focused on cleansing, conditioning, and improving the hair. Oway grows herbs and botanical ingredients on its own biodynamic farm. We determine which formula to use during the hair analysis.

This treatment deeply cleanses your hair and nourishes it with high-quality hair care products. Many customers notice that their hair is cleaner, fresher, and shinier afterward. We’ll discuss what’s possible for your hair during the preliminary hair analysis.

There's no set schedule. Some clients book a one-time appointment, while others come back regularly to keep their hair clean and well-groomed. Whatever works best for you is the right schedule.

The solo treatment is for one person. The duo treatment is for two people at the same time, with two therapists present simultaneously. Both treatments are identical in terms of quality and approach. The Japanese Head Spa costs €109 for one person. The duo treatment for two people at the same time costs €159 total, which is €79.50 per person. A package of 3 sessions costs €295 for a solo session and €399 for a duo session. Prices include VAT and are the same at every location; blow-drying can be added as an optional service.

At Gloow in Rotterdam, Breda, Amsterdam, The Hague, Laren, and Eindhoven. You can choose your location and time directly online, either alone or as a duo with two therapists at the same time.
